Military Solutions:
Military users of DAQFactory are doing the same things our other users are doing: taking data, logging it, displaying it in real-time, running automation scripts, whether for batch testing or system control and alarming. DAQFactory wouldn't be used for the guidance system of a missle, but certainly could be used in the manufacturing of the missle for quality control, to run batches with different payloads, or to control and monitor the assembly line. Unfortunately our military users can't really tell us much about what they do with DAQFactory for pretty obvious reasons, and we don't pry. We know DAQFactory is used in several research programs in much the same ways it is used by non-military researchers. They take advantage of all the common data acquisition features and benefit from the ability to make changes to their application without having to restart their application. They benefit from its ease of use and affordability. But most importantly, they look to DAQFactory for its reliability.
Here are a few of the companies / groups in the military field that use DAQFactory:
- ATK Tactical Systems
- Defence Research and Development Canada
- Navy Experimental Diving Unit
- Norwegian Defence Research Est.
- US Army Corps of Engineers
- US Navy
