0.7 Upgrading to a different release of DAQFactory

Scroll Prev Top Next More

A "release" of DAQFactory is a particular build of the DAQFactory executable and files.  Different releases have different release numbers, such as 20.1.  The release and build number of your DAQFactory installation is available by going to Help - About, or by looking for the DAQFactory.exe file in your installation folder and viewing its properties.

To update to a new release of DAQFactory, simply download the trial version of that release and install it over top of your existing DAQFactory installation.  Your license will not be lost.

If you wish to have multiple releases of DAQFactory installed on the same machine, usually because you need to support applications that are still running under older releases, we typically recommend you rename the DAQFactory.exe file to, say, DAQFactory191.exe (for the 19.1 release), and then install the newer release in the same folder.  This will result in multiple DAQFactory*.exe files.  You can then run the appropriate .exe file to get the release you want.
